OUR YOUTHS

World Youth Day is a youth-oriented Catholic Church event. While the event itself celebrates the Catholic faith, the invitation to attend extends to all youth, regardless of religious convictions.
World Youth Day was initiated by Blessed Pope John Paul II in 1985. World Youth Day is falls on every Palm Sunday and celebrated once every 2 years in different parts of the world with different cities playing host to the inaugural event. This international level event attract hundreds of thousands of youths from all over the world.
There have been 11 International World Youth Day celebrations, where the youth continue to answer the invitation of the Holy Father in staggering numbers and carry home the message received there to be Christ’s light to the world. While these events are organized by the clergy and laity of the Catholic Church, youth of all faiths are invited to attend and encounter Christ, making this gathering truly universal
MSCCA aims to support, prepare and fund youths for continuous World Youth Day celebrations, reaching out to under privileged youths.
